Eric T Olson
A cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, Olson earlier earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with magna cum laude honors from the University of Minnesota – Duluth, with an emphasis on finance and human resource management.
Olson is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and its Real Property Section and the Dakota County Bar Association. A frequent speaker on business and real estate issues, he recently addressed a group of commercial bankers on loan workouts and restructuring strategies
Married and the father of three sons, Olson and his family are longtime residents of and active members in the Burnsville community. Eric is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Burnsville Community Foundation and an active member of the Burnsville Chamber of Commerce, including its public policy committee.

As a Minnesota State Bar Association Certified Real Property Law Specialist, Eric is in an elite group of less than 2% of attorneys who is certified as a specialist. A respected member of the Twin Cities legal community for more than two decades, Olson has wide practice experience in corporate and business law, banking and financial transactions, insurance law, commercial and residential real estate.
Eric as the managing shareholder of his Burnsville-based firm, Eric brings his deep understanding of business and real estate law and financing transactions to his clients. He has a well deserved reputation for taking a results focused approach in aggressively pursuing the legal and business objectives of clients.
Olson has represented hundreds of clients over the years, including business owners, corporations, national and regional insurance companies, agents, developers, contractors and lenders, national and state banks and individual owners on residential and commercial property matters.
Recently a leader of the business transaction, real estate law and banking practices of Twin Cities law firms, Olson decided to open his own firm to better serve his clients. Having served clients in private practice as well as in house counsel with Thrivent Financial, formerly Lutheran Brotherhood, where he was responsible for real estate investment, leasing, commercial real estate acquisition and commercial mortgage lending in the United States as well as insurance and securities regulatory compliance, distribution law and agency matters. Olson has also served as real estate counsel, title examiner and underwriter for a Twin Cities title insurer and has also worked on land survey crew for a Twin Cities engineering firm.
